Our group started with the Spinach Artichoke dip and salsa,it was a good serving size of the dip, you'll definitely need more chips though. The the whole appetizer was so good. I got the BBQ Shrimp and Cheesy grits, wow I practically licked my bowl. I didn't care for the garlic bread that it came with. My friend got a cheeseburger, it came with pickle spears... not sure how that is supposed to go onto a burger but it was decent, the fries were really good. The service was slow, and our drinks needed to be filled more than they were. The atmosphere was nice and clean. I will be going back.

Joanne the General manager and our server Christianne took great care of our group of 11 on our vday weekend visit to lauberge du lac. Christine was very attentive and friendly. Our glasses stayed full and we never had to ask for her. I would recommend anyone to visit JD Grill , ask for Christianne :) thanks again Joanne and Brandy.

I love the Habanero burger. It's SUPER Hot! You can see large chunks of habanero. If you're a fan of spicy, ask yourself how spicy do you like it. If you don't LOVE to be murdered by heat, then steer away. My whole mouth and lips were burning, but I still wanted more. Just keep in mind, this burger is not for the faint at heart (or taste buds). And it's a chore to eat the whole thing. If you think you can't eat the whole one, ask for the sliders prepared in the same way, and only order 2. I've eaten inside and outside at the bar. The service is extreemely slow with no apology. The bar tenders are very friendly, but the waitresses are either too stressed to help or to bored to bother. The gator bites were just ok, I've had much better, although I did enjoy the dipping sauce. A meal here can get quite expensive, $38 for the Ribeye, but I do appreciate the items catered to a tighter budget. My burger was only $12 with a heaping helping of seasoned fries. Also, Jack after Dark is when the restaurant closes and it turns into a club/bar only. There was a large dance floor with a small crowd dancing, and a few people staring at the ladies in bikinis dancing on the stages.

I just had an appetizer since I wasn't too hungry. The chili glazed shrimp were delicious. There were only three but they are large so it was the perfect amount. My daughter had the kids burgers and fries which she enjoyed as well. Our waitress was super sweet and went above and beyond to make sure we were happy. We will probably be back before our trip is over.

This was my second time coming to Jack Daniels. I live in california, and have visited Lake Charles twice. It seems that the casino's are the only place to have nice restaurants. The two times I have been here, I've enjoyed their food. I believe the only Jack Daniels is located here in Lake Charles which is very surprising. I would recommend ordering the Not Your Mamas Macncheese. It was just spicy enough to enjoy all the way through. I would not suggests ordering the Bomb Pop drink. It was overly sweet. I have the biggest sweet tooth, but the drink just tasted like candy syrup. The waitresses dress similar to a Hooters. There was a lot of seating inside and out. The two times I was here, there was never a wait which I liked.

Chili glazed bacon wrap shrimp. Wow. First off staff is friendly but service was lacking. They had to take our drink order twice. Server only had a few tables outside but disappeared a few times. Ordered the gator bites to start. Tasty and remoulade was spicy and creamy. Great call. They forgot to give us plates, though and I had to go get some from the bar. Ordered the chili glazed shrimp wrapped in bacon. Presentation was perfect. Three large shrimp lounging lazily in a sweet garlicky chili sauce. Bacon was crispy and shrimp cooked well but when it came out it was cold. The taste overcame. Great dish. Band playing was really great. We sat on the patio and the volume was perfect so I know it was loud inside. All in all, worth the trip but be patient and you'll get some good food.

I went to Jack Daniel's after reading a review of "The best Burger spot in the US'', I was really disappointed, starting with the service, it took 30 min until a server asked for our drinks, and another 10 min to get them, we order appetizers and we got them at the same time we got the food (30 min later) the burger was warm/cold and dry. For the money you are paying for it should be getting a better service and food. I would not recommend to eat here.

This place has the name and a great location but the food is under average for the price. I ordered one of the hamburgers ant the beef didn't have taste...a friend ordered a chicken salad and all it was there was lettuce...anyway...wouldn't be back and won't recommend.

This restaurant would be my absolute last resort when I come back to this casino. I ordered nachos and when they came out the chips were completely soggy, the cheese was absolutely disgusting. By far, the WORST nachos I have ever had, including pee wee football nachos. At least those nachos were cheap. My husband got shrimp And grits which wasn't bad but it took so long to get our food that it still wasn't worth it. I wish I had 2 more hands where I could give this place 4 thumbs down.

Service was poor to begin with. The girl at the door (Kaitlyn, if I recall correctly) did not seem to care that there were 17 people standing in front of her as she attempted to "hide" her cell phone while enjoying some sort of text conversation. Once she finally acknowledged my wife and I, after standing in front of her for 3 minutes, she was less than friendly and gave off the feeling that they did not want any more business for the night. After finally taking our name and telling us it would be a 20 minute wait, I watched as she seemed to discourage other potential customers from wanting to have dinner. Keep in mind that this was right at 9:07pm and the place turns into a nightclub at 11pm however, this was plenty of time to get in and have dinner. Once finally being alerted that a table was ready, we waited for another 6 minutes for the next girl to show up to seat us. She walked us to the rear of the restaurant and placed 2 menus on this large round table in the middle of the floor, directly in the walking path of everyone. I asked if we could sit somewhere slightly more out of the way considering there were numerous other tables open and the girl seemed baffled by the request. She finally decided to go stand in the employee area waiting for someone to speak to her as we stood awkwardly in the middle of the restaurant. Finally, it looked like she made contact with a manger(?) who then walked over to me and asked if the table just to the side was ok, which it was. The server that we had, Amanda, was great. She was nice and much more friendly than the others which I'd encountered up to this point. Without her decent service, I was ready to walk out to find another place. The food was good and this would be a good place to visit if you can get past the rude maitre'd and seemingly lost hostess. 3 stars for food and server ONLY - with hopes that the others will find a better place to be. Good luck!

Had lunch on Sunday in the patio. It was a hot summer but they kept a powerful fan running and it helped with cooling. Nice view. Food was good. Service was quick. Friendly staff.

If you want terrible service, go to Amanda P. How long does it take to get a 4 waters and three beers?? Let's see... 15 mins later, she comes back saying they don't carry the beers. So another 15 mins to actually get drinks. Okay, shouldn't you know what you do and don't carry/what is 86'd? I did notice the Asian girl in the section next to her turn over two tables so I know good service is there. However, our service was deplorable. Our food came out cold. And she came back once the entire time. Hey, our beer is low, ask us for another, bring up the bill, give better service, and that's more $$ for you. I can't really say anything else because she was basically nonexistent. I did appreciate the food runner/busser, who basically did her job. Props to you man.

Chili's that happens to be in the lobby of a casino. Nothing special, nothing interesting, just hot enough food convenient enough if you happen to be staying onsite with service just as mediocre as the food. Venture out to one of the better dining options - there are several.

We had lunch at the outdoor bar and Jamie is an awesome bartender. We had the shrimp on a sugar cane skewer and it is an amazing dish.......cold drinks and fresh air. Fun people watching at the pool.

Hey, it's like Hooters but without the great chicken wings. Your instantly greeted by some souther girl with her brain cells bulging out of her super tight and traveling top. Yes, it's one of those places and if you luckily to have enough money. You can stay and party at night at their club. Be ready to shell out big bucks for over priced food and drinks. But hey, we're not here to drink are we? We here to try to pick up the girls working here. Well, that's what the single guys do anyways....

Overpriced food but good beer selection. Wait staff were very friendly and attentive. Definitely not on my list of places to return too.

Hamburger was great, cheese and Chile fries had to be redone. Service was great, had no problem fixing any issues. Also had popcorn shrimp, which was so so. In the end it was a cool looking restaurant, with beautiful deck, but so and so food. (Not to mention $$)

Horrible!! Don't waste your time eating here! We have ate here on three different occasions and thought we would try it one more time. Bad choice!! We made reservations early that morning for 14 people at 9pm. We show up at 8:40 and they said our tables were ready. That's where the good news ended. They walk us to our tables...two separate booths!!! For our group to squeeze 4 people on one side each table!! So we ask our waitress if we could get a large table like we ask for and she said no because they already had two other large parties and the kitchen couldn't handle it. Huh?? So I said what if we order separately? She said I could ask her manager so I went and asked and before I could even finish talking she rudely told me no and also that table we were wanting to move to was reserved for VIP. So we had no other choice. It's was 9pm on a Friday and all the other restaurants were booked. We ordered immediately cause we just wanted to eat and leave. Well an hour and a half later we finally got our food. We tried talking to a male manager and he just walked off never to be seen again! And to top it off the food was horrible and NO ONE ever came to sit at the VIP table!!! This place should close down!! Can't wait for the Golden Nugget!! Bye bye L'Auberge!! And when will Yelp give us the option of zero stars?!?!? I guess I can count the one star for our cute, sweet waitress that apologized profusely for stuff that was obviously out of her control!

Unfortunately they were under staffed when we ate here for dinner. Our reservation was at 8:30 and we didn't get seated until 9. We sat for at least 10 minutes before a server even acknowledged our table. On the more brighter side everyone's food was great. I recommend the nachos and grilled chicken breast! Lots of flavor!

This was our 2nd time here. We ate in the restaurant last time and it was pretty good. This time, we just wanted to hang out at the bar and enjoy some drinks with friends. There was a strange musty odor. The granite countertop appeared dull and was somewhat sticky. So immediately the impression was that of uncleanliness and therefore, uncomfortable. The bartender was not busy other than socializing too much with some patrons. She could have been cleaning. Despite all this, we ordered some drinks and then shots of tequila. At $10 each (Silver Patron) , you would think we would have been able to get them in actual shot glasses not clear plastic cups AND not had to ask for fresh limes instead of the brown ones we were given.

For a casual place to sit, drink and socialize with friends for a few hours, this is really about as good as you're going to find in Lake Charles. I come here every time I'm town. Drinks: Excellent! This is the place's main focus and they do a good job. They have several Jack Daniels spins on traditional cocktails, my favorite was the JD tea. The drinks were just right, not too strong but not weak either. They also have a huge selection of beer. Food: Not bad, but it doesn't "wow!" me. Food doesn't appear to be the main focus of the place...they're called Jack Daniels bar and grill so I guess I'm pointing out the obvious here. They do good appetizers and burgers. The highlight of their food menu are the Gator Bites. These things are delicious; I could eat them all night and I often do. Service: Excellent! Quick, attentive and professional. The bartender we had could talk intelligently about specific beers in their vast selection and guide my girlfriend to a drink she would like. He was engaging, a good salesmen but not pushy. From what I could tell, the other customers sitting at the bar had a similar experience. Atmosphere: Casual, up beat but not rowdy. I have come here with my girlfriend three times and we could carry on a conversation with no problems. Good place to sit, drink and socialize.

Andouille burger is omg yummy. My mate had a full rack of pork ribs that he said were good, but sauce on it was really good. Sauce is put on top not cooked with the meat fully. Rub on rib itself is a little spicey but good. The gator bites appetizer was OK and coukd have been better...gator is a meat you can't over cook or it will change in taste and become chewy. Thats exactly what happened here. Some bigger chunks tasted like gator others bites tasted over cooked. My other dinner party person noticed when we got to the end of the bites they tasted a lot like onion batter. So the assumption here is they use the same batter to dip onion rings as they do the gator and thats why its not tasting like full gator. Would come back to try other things here. Food and service was good, they even changed the channel for us at our table so we could watch football on our mini tv.

Where to start? Freezing in the restaurant, so the waitstaff suggested sitting on the terrace. "The hostess is just outside on the right." Hostess stand, no hostess. After standing around for a few minutes, a waitress came by and said pick any table. Unfortunately, all of the tables were full of dirty dishes - guess they don't have busboys. Sat at the bar. Ordered drinks, including a Black and Tan. Oops, no Guiness, no maybe we can get a can from room service. Ordered the shrimp and cheese grits. Do you like shrimp and grits with random bits of shell and lumpy grits? If so, this is your place! Didn't expect much, but they didn't make it.

Could be a real great hangout but despite having good food, this place just misses the mark. For a sports bar it has limited channels so we couldn't even dial in our game on opening weekend.

So first time at the lauberge casino and hotel, the hotel is amazing really awesome place. There's nothing wrong with the hotel what so ever. Now I come to the hotel with intentions on eating at the jack Daniels bar and Grill. I heard it was excellent. First thing first my uncle and I went up to the hostess to ask if we could get a reservation for tonight they said they don't know what they are doing if they are taking reservations. So we moved on up to our room and got ready to go to dinner. We come back down and it's a two hour wait, when we asked if we could get a reservation around lunch time for 7 o'clock. So we ended up having to go to the buffet that night. The next day we came to Jacks bar and Grill to eat lunch. We were sat immediately got drinks and appetizers right away. We waited over 30 minutes for our nachos, that were cold and not how we ordered them. It takes forever to get a refill on water. We waited about an hour just for our food to come out. And of course my order was wrong, I didn't eat it and told them to take it back. Waited about another twenty minutes just for them to fix it. And just to bring another person at my table a basket of French fries. It seems clear that it's just our waitress who is not doing a good job because looking around at other tables she's serving they are doing the same thing as us twirling their thumbs. Not satisfied with this service what so ever. I'm sure if we had another waitress it might of been different but from what I experienced I'm only coming back for the pool parties.

Got a couple burgers with my wife. I got the firewater burger and it was HOT! Wife got the working man burger and she said she enjoyed it. The fries were crispy and hot. We split the pecan pie with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. It was pretty good. The place was clean and seemed organized. We will be back

Jack after dark is pretty much the only spot in Lake Charles to go to if you don't want to be in a club full of college kids. Classy with good Djs and good drinks. After that shuts down we head to the glo bar inside casino for the night.
